How to control 2-way lighting via Fibar FG221 Double Switch in VeraLite?

I installed VerLite and want to use Fibar Doubel Relay Switches to control my light switch which mounted into the wall box. But I found these light switchese are configured with 2 -way lighting circult. I have no idea how to use Fibar Relay to do the same as what I am using to control the light today which can be manually switched on and off from different wall box at the same time controlled by Vera which will not affect the current installation.

I already checked with Fibar manual where I found it is needed to use “N” for the power and control. But when I open the wall box, I only found “L” for L1 and L2 to control 2 -way switch. Is there any simple way I can achieve the switch control via z-wave for this setup? Can Fibar relay/dimmer help or other solution?

You’ve bought the wrong module. The dimmer module is the only Fibar module which does not require N.

Could you fit the module near the light it self? There will be L and N there…

Thanks your advice. If I have a switch in the wall for a high power heater/air conditioner, what module I should take? Fibaro 3kW seems to be the only choice. That kind of switch seem no ‘N’ as well. Besides, we can’t do the same thing with 2 ways lighting (two separate light switches) even I used Fibaro Dimmer. Is it correct?

With regards to the switch in the wall for a high power/big load appliance, you most certainly do not want the dimmer, not in the least because those devices usually can’t dim. The 3KW needs N as well (see http://materialy.fibaro.com/instrukcje/relay%20switch%20FGS211%20v1_4%20eng.pdf)

With two way lighting, you have two switches, controlling one light. I should think that having the module near the light rather than near the switch is what you want? One switch would go into S1/Sx, the other switch in S2/Sx.

I think I can resolve the current issue for 2-way lighting (two wall switches to control two lights with each each).

I can use one dimmer per light on its switch box (2 x Dimmers) then I use S2 on one Dimmer to make the association to another Dimmer for remotely control ON/OFF to simulate two-way lighting. Is it a good solution or original design for Fibaro Dimmer that reserves S2 for this purpose?

Fibaro 2 x 1.5W relay is simple but it can’t do for 2-way lighting. But, of course, I need to make sure the Dimmer can work perfectly on all of my original ECO lights that will not be a problem for relay. Besides, we also need to consider if ‘N’ line is behind the wall switch. Why does the relay need ‘N’ line but Dimmer doesn’t? Dimmer makes the cabling simple but not support all of lighting, flucesent light, ECO or LED etc. But the relay is an idea solution for all scnerios except we need to have ‘N’ there. Really troublesome before we start the setup!

In my country Hong Kong, Dimmer is NOT so popular. Dimmer always make the light flicking and unstable… :frowning:

I did it yesterday and work as expected. I can do that now and very happy
