How do you force a firmware update on ezlo box

They say “Do not hold the Reset Button for more than 5 seconds since this will do a soft reset to your controller.”

Sounds like that is what happened.

Can you restore a Backup in the Settings area of the web UI?

I have edited that post to make it clearer option 1 could potentially soft reset the controller.

my controller is now flashing red, has been all night. It is also “offline”. Not sure what to do.

This says flashing Red is Booting Recovery Partition.

If it was me I would unplug the power and wait for the battery to run out and for the hub to fully power off. Then turn it back on and see if it boots?

cw-kid, just to complete the loop on this issue… Yes, Jonathan did contact me. After a phone conference and diagnostics, he determined my controller was defective. After getting a lot of info from me about the controller, he authorized a return and said I would get an email with a return label. After now more than 2 weeks, and many follow up emails, I’m still waiting for this label. Not sure what is going on within Ezlo. Jonathan has been helpful and responsive but he seems unable to get me an email with the label and such. Anyway, it is more than frustrating as I have no controller for all the devices and meshbots. It should be a key consideration for anyone using Ezlo that (from my experience anyway), the controller is far from reliable and any serious problem with the Ezlo equipment will leave you without.

@JonathanB What is the hold up with the returns label ?
