I want to get the current temperature from a temp sensor into a variable in tasker. I have ticked that device to be updated. I know how to poll the state of my ‘normal’ devices but nor sure of how I can get a temperature value

I found my answer. Just in case someone else is interested:

Create a task, autovera device info of your sensor, and your temperature is in the %avtemperature() variable
