I have been using a CA3750 for awhile now to control my sprinklers. I had several power outages last week and it seems I can’t control it with Vera anymore. I am able to manually turn it on and off with the pushbutton (only has one button)…
I downloaded the install and user manual (not much there) but I noticed that the red light is blinking which seems to indicate it lost its association. I cycled the power to it again like the manual advised but no help.
So I am pretty sure I need to exclude it and re-include it. I know I can just “delete” the device on the Vera screen but when I do that am I actually “excluding” the device? There were no instructions as to what to do to the device itself.
Before I potentially make it worse I wanted to see if anyone else has been down this road. BTW I am running UI5 and I am not having trouble with any other devices at this time.
Also, follow up question - if I delete the device in Vera will I have to rewrite the scenes that use it?
Thanks in advance

Deleting from Vera does not exclude and if the device is still included, it will re-appear in Vera. To exclude, put Vera in exclude mode and press the single button on the CA3750. If it's already excluded, then nothing will happen. Then put the Vera in Include mode and press the button again to include it.

You're unlikely to make it worse. You just need to get it excluded from Vera. If it's already excluded(lost its association) then delete the device from Vera and then include it again.

The scenes will remain, but the CA3750 will no longer be a part of the scene since it will now have a new device number. You'll need to reconfigure the scene to use the "new" device(new device number anyway).

That’s what the manual seemed to indicate, too. But I didn’t know if it still needed to be reset somehow…

Thank you for the reply and info… Can I perform this with the Vera connected? Or do I need to do the battery mode to exclude? The reason I ask is I had trouble including a new device 2 weeks ago using battery mode and I was ultimately only able to “pair” using the UI5 interface with the Vera still plugged in. Unfortunately this isn’t furthest-away device so I don’t even know if I will be able to do this with the Vera still plugged in.
Sorry for the newb questions
although I’ve been into this for awhile I never got on to the advanced side!
Never mind the additional questions… I followed your directions and was able to successfully exclude and include the device. It is working again and now I’m just fixing the scenes.
Thanks again Z-waver!
