I paired 2 motion sensors with my Vera Lite controller. I basically just want to use them to run on/off some lights. That part works, however every single user of Vera controller get’s these super annoying notifications “Movement was detected”. I did not configure those, check every setting I could find and there’s no reason why it should do that! In the alert list I see a lot of “Burglary” type events too…
Is there any way to turn these default notifications off?
Now I do “Arm” those sensors, is that something I shouldn’t do?

Settings is in the “modes” page. I was right, when sensor is “armed” that’s when it sends alert…
Yes; Vera does this by default. If you arm a sensor, and it is tripped, Vera automatically assumes you want to be notified. And you thought you had some say over the notifications…
If you want more control over you notifications … disable the Email and SMS notifications in your Vera Account.
Install the Vera Alert’s plugin.
Create Notifications on the devices for the conditions you want to be notified of (Still available in UI7, this was the standard way in UI5)
Vera Alert’s also handles the Notifications from your Scenes!
The Vera Alerts plugin provides lots of ways to have your notifications delivered to your mobil.

First off I would like to thank you for an awesome app and have been using vera alerts for a while now. I just upgraded to UI7 and all my old alerts are working just fine but I can not seem to add anymore on the vera alerts. I see now that the notification configuration will not show anything anymore… not even the alerts that I have set up and are working properly… my question is how do I set up more devices to alert me when they go off?

Am going to check out your addon… but I had a question, because my Alerts log is getting filled w/ burglary notifications. I have all of my lights turning on based on an armed motion sensor. But because it’s armed, vera now thinks I want to have a log entry for each time that happens. As you can imagine, this is going to be insane. Do you know of a solution, or does using your plugin somehow redirect these?
