I have a VeraLite that first requested to upgrade to U16 using the setup wizard. I did not know how to get past this so I upgraded and then subsequently downgraded to U15 using excellent forum topics. I could not get the pairing operation to work with U16 so that is why I downgraded. I noticed that some forum topics suggested that 17-ZW does work with vera…but unfortunately I do not seem able to pair it to the VeraLite. Any help??. The C-Stat 17-ZW looks a lot better than the older Horstmann HRT4-ZW ???
Take a look at our guide on how to use this with VERA - http://www.vesternet.com/resources/application-notes/apnt-57
The trick to getting it included is to use ‘Learn’ in the SCS317 (C-Stat)'s menu.
It then installs nicely in VERA.
I’v tested this with 1.5.622 and works well.

Many thanks Mark. I have tried your instructions and they have helped. However not successful yet!. I added the C-Stat-17 (SCS317) but it shows the temperature in Farenheit on U15 . What configuration setting do I change to display the temperature in celcius?
I managed to include the receiver, but initially it displayed as an identical icon to the thermostat. On reloading several times it eventually changed to the simpler off and heat icon.
My problem now is that I can’t get the association to work. It appears to connect from vera to the thermostat since the send NF refreshed the icon. However the “currently” field on the device options tab displays blank even after I save the “set to” to the receiver ID#. Why do your instructions enter"2" in Group ID …can it be 1 or any other number?
Also the c-stat-17-ZW does not display the antenna icon with radio waves, but rather the antenna stays as a “thin” antena. I assume it should change to display the radio waves as per the HRT4.?
I know the antenna works as I was able to set it when doing a direct include to the receiver (without going through vera)

Hi
To change the temperature scale, you do this in the VERA configuration settings - http://www.vesternet.com/resources/application-notes/apnt-14
The association group number depends on what type of device you’re associating it with. The SCS, like the SRT321 sense ‘Thermostat’ commands on group1 and Basic On/Off commands on group 2. That is why we suggest using group 2 as it will work with any device you wish to association it with.
If the association setting is not being accepted in the ‘advanced’ tab, then it means that you’ve not woken the device to accept it. When the device wakes up it will accept the association.
If you then click reload, the advanced tab and the device settings tab will show the correct association. What device are you trying to associate it with?

Hi Mark,
Ok correctly set the temperature (embarrassed it was so easy!). However still having issues with association. I am trying to associate to an ASR-ZW receiver. The advanced tab on the thermostat (17-ZW) icon does show 2,6 against the field AssociationSet…does this mean it is correctly configured?. “6” is the device# of the receiver.
Should I have a value against neighbours?. I still have no value against “Currently” on the Device Options tab under associations…your screenshot suggests I should have a “6” (same as “Set To”)
I still cannot turn on the receiver by manually increasing the setpoint temperature on the 17-ZW. Am I correct in assuming that I should be seeing a solid radio antenna to indicate communication…still see only a blank mask symbol?

Managed to get association working by using the menu on the C-Stat 17-ZW (setup>Setup Z Wave>associate)
