Honeywell Thermostat does not show "Auto" mode

Hi, I have 2 Honeywell Z-wave thermostats and I recently noticed they both are missing the “Auto” mode in System. So typically, it has “Off”, “Heat”, “Cool”, and “Auto” (which my understanding is Auto switches between Heat and Cool depends on current temp).

I am NOT talking about Vera or UI5, I am referring to the actual equipment touchscreen has no option for “Auto”.

I read the manual and seems like it should support it. Anyone has any pointers for me?

Do you have your installation guide? This is controlled through a setting in the installer setup. Press “system”, then press and hold the 3rd and 5th buttons down. The number “120” should appear. Use the arrows to get to setting “300”. Set the value to “1” with the arrows on the right. Then press “Done”. This should do it. It worked on mine just now. Hope it works for you. I wouldn’t have tried if you hadn’t asked the question, so thanks!

One note was, when I was looking at the online manual, somehow the manual skipped from 280 to 320, without mentioning 300. Just want to point this out for future readers reference.

You’re welcome! As you noted, for future readers, in the user manual there is no reference to setting “0300”. The user manual states to access settings by pressing “System”, then the blank center key. I believe this only allows access to limited settings, as I couldn’t get to setting 0300 this way. To get to all of the settings, press System, then the two keys (3 and 5) outside the center key. This is only mentioned in the installer guide.
