I am in a new house that uses a combination of a heat pump heating/cooling system (basement) as well as a forced air heating/cooling system (upper floors).
The thermostat that I have is a Honeywell Prestige IAQ Programmable Thermostat (model: THX9421R5005). This unit “controls multistage equipment, humidification, dehumidification and ventilation all with only 2 wires at the thermostat location.”
The unit also communicates with a wireless exterior temperature sensor.
Unfortunately, this device does not support Z-Wave so I can’t integrate it into my network.
Does anyone know what Z-wave compatible device(s) I can use to replace this thermostat. Specifically, it has to replace the control functionality for multistage equipment, humidification, dehumidification and ventilation in addition to controlling heating/cooling.
I just had a hvac system installed with this thermostat. Has anyone tried getting vera to communicate with honeywell’s internet gateway for this thermostat package? Does it support uPnP?
Their internet portal is free, so maybe there’s hope.
Did anyone ever do this? My problem is that I have a VisionPro IAQ system with only 3 wires pulled into the house to the thermostat from the equipment interface module. By the time I buy a new z-wave enabled thermostat, have a new set of wires pulled, and have it connected to the headpump (2stage with cooling), I’m at $500 or more. And I’m not comfortable wiring the heat pump.

Hi–
I know many folks would be interested in this interface.
I have had IAQ with a multizone setup and have just started the expensive process of swapping out the Multizone controller and 4 thermostat’s to something z-wave so my system can communicate. It would be nice if IAQ could be supported from Vera.
I actually already bought a TrueZONE HZ432 Panel so far.Next I need 4 Z-wave thermostat’s and a bunch of extra wires to replace my 3 wire IAQ (older IAQ then the original poster)

Hi Matic
Here is a link to the Honeywell Prestige API. Wondering if someone is willing to develop an app.
I actually gave in a changed out all (4) of my IAQ touchscreen thermostats and my older zone control panel to a Newer non IAQ zone controller and 4 Trane Z-wave thermostats to get my system up and running. So a ton of money later and all new wiring between each thermostat and zone controller I’m no longer IAQ anymore.
Anyone wanting to setting up an IAQ zone system I have everything but the Dampeners for sale now. LOL

Hi–
Sorry to hear you’ve given up on the Honeywell Prestige. I have the Trane z-wave thermostat in rental property. It works well but not the same class as the Prestige.
