Hi all – searched for, wasn’t able to find this specific question. I just purchased a home that had an existing Vista 20-P installed. The previous owners (whom purchased it from original owner) never used the security alarm.
I plugged it all in, not sure where to begin. Any guides on programming this system with the keypad? Separately, I’ve ordered the new VeraPlus and was hoping to integrate the alarm into Vera via plugins.
However, my issue is the alarm panel is in the garage and will be far from where the Vera will be located and re-wiring isn’t possible. I know there are two adaptors to make the 20-P zwave compatible (Envisalink EVL3 and AD2USB) – will there be a way to connect the panel to my zwave system if they’re not within a close proximity? Was planning to use alarmrelay.com for monitoring.
It appears as if I can put a network panel so in theory I could connect the security system via ethernet to another location in the house.
