I have a few Hikvision cameras, and want to stream them on Imperihome Pro, via internet (not LAN).
But I cannot get any of the URL’s, that I found by intensive research (this forum and Google), to work.
For example this URL works on the browser of my Android phone:
http://ddns_address:port/Streaming/Channels/2/httppreview
(ddns_address is the url for my router, e.g. blabla.no-ip.biz, port is a forwarded port 11544–>554)
but it doesn’t work in Imperihome.
In this example I use a Hikvision DS-2CD2132F-IS
firmware version: V5.2.5 build 141201
encoding version: V5.0 build 140714
setting for substream is on MJPEG.
The port I use is properly forwarded in my router, evidence is that it shows on the Android browser, while I am not connected to WiFi.
Would like to know if somebody got this working…
for the remote URL I use this: http://yyyyyy:xxxxxx@ddns_address:port/Streaming/channels/201/picture
whereby yyyyyy = username and xxxxxx = password of the camera
hope it helps. it work in my imperihome, also remotely[/quote]
I tried the remote url in Imperihome, but it reports that it is unable to read the stream.
Also I think the url does not describe a stream, but a snapshot (static image) ?

That is correct he only provided you with a snapshot image not a stream.
Imperihome, just like vera, do not read streams but static pictures. You can configure the refresh rate. I provided the location of thr jpg. It works for me but if you are looking for streaming i am afraid i can not help.
There is an android issue regarding rtsp streams with authentication. Try disabling authentication on your camera for rtsp and try again. It should work then.
