Here's how to run Imperihome on your PC/Laptop

I totally forgot about the fact that you can run Android apps from your PC. Just did this and it’s running flawless.

Download Andydroid from here
http://www.andyroid.net/

This would be a very cool solution for those with a touchscreen monitor.

here’s what it looks like on a 55"

I went the site but my anti-virus software blocks it as a malware site.

that’s strange no problem here

here’s the direct download link from the site http://bit.ly/getAndy

basically it runs android in a VM

alternatively you can also use bluestacks but blue stacks is a little laggy IMO

I use one of these Android TV dongles with air mouse to run Android on my 55" TV.

Plugs directly into the TV’s HDMI port and gets power via USB. ImperiHome and AuthomationHD work great on it. It basically works on any TV or monitor that has an HDMI input to turn it into a smart Android TV. If I’m watching TV in teh bedroom a quick source flip and up comes Android and my front door camera image.

If you play a lot of games, you may want to connect a fan to these as then they’ll get a bit toasty.

Great find … can’t wait to try it. I also found blue stacks buggy and slow as hell. I have a 23 inch all in one PC in my kitchen with touch this would be awesome on.

I also use one of the android dongle on my TV, but find I rarely use it. Does world well though. Probably because I have a tablet right next to my couch.

Reporting back that this works great! Touch works well… seems to not slow down the PC much… but does require some power there.

I ended up having to go back to a restore point on my THinkPad T400, it hung up installing and disabled my wireless in the process. I’ll give it another try in a few days

Check your bios and make sure virtualization is enabled.

I’ve run MIcrosoft’s VM on this ThinkPad before so it ought to work

Google has official support of running Google Play Store, and Android Apps on a PC via Chrome browser v41+ with their system called “Arc Welder”

Just installed this, seems to be a decent option.

Did anyone get the Imperihome Pro unlocker to work under Arc Welder?

I got it installed but it says “Pro Version - Not Installed” when looking in About.

Cheers

Keen to know where to download apk and get pro version working too?

I paid for it.

This is the response from the ImperiHome support desk:

"Thank you for your message and interest in ImperiHome.
Indeed, the Unlocker relies on Google Play services for the authorization which most probably do not work on Android emulators.
Although we do understand your wish to get this working, I’m afraid this is not something in our roadmap for now.

Thank you for your understanding."

Oh well I have AuthomationHD running well on my Windows 10 touch screen laptop and now I have ImperiHome Pro on my Android tablet all setup its pretty good!

I used Andy emulator to run Imperihome but I don’t know my system has become slow from the day I have downloaded andy emulator. Other methods such as Genymotion or Visual Studio emulator are new to me and I don’t know how to use them. I am unable to run android apps and games on my pc, then I went for bluestacks, now I am happy with it.

I use amiduos on a windows 10 touch screen pc

works great and it’s compatible with google play services. Downside is it works full screen only

It works fine on the PC eee and BlueStacks.
no problem.

Well, there are third party emulators available in the market with which you can easily run any android app or android games on your Computer, Desktop or Mac Free. Few examples are Bluestacks and Andy emulator.
It is also found that by installing bluestacks on your device, the device starts hanging. So, friends the reason behind this is your RAM. So you must have up to 3GB of RAM to run the app smoothly. You can also access the answers and reviews of various games. for more click here
