Hello,
I have a Somfy Universal RTS Interface URTSI, part # 1810506, connected to my Vera 3 running UI5 via a recognized serial to USB adapter.
I have installed the Somfy Universal RTS Interface - URTSI II plug in and have it configured to use the attached serial port. I can see the serial port in the “Apps > Develop Apps> Serial Port Configuration” and it is configured as specified in the Somfy plug in help.
I have my 3 blinds configured/paired with the Universal RTS Interface box, I have 3 blinds specified in the plugin (01,02,03)
But all i get when clicking “Close” or “Open” in the created individual blind devices is a pop-up with exclamation stating “No implementation”
I don’t believe its even trying to send a signal to the interface box.
In my UI5, the UP, STOP, DOWN buttons do not function either. (Sorry, i should have stated that in my origianl post). When clicking UP, STOP, or DOWN nothing happens at all. No error pop-up or anything…
Also, what do the “OPEN” and “CLOSE” buttons do, then?
Does everyone get “No implementation” when clicking those?
That doesn’t seem to make sense to me as the open and closed positons for each blind are set. I would figure “Open” and “Close” commands would be the easiet command to send.
The different controls are for different ways of controlling or interfacing with motorized window coverings. Open, close, and the slider are for Z wave shade controllers or z wave motors. They operate on the multi-level switch class in z wave so they are essentially acting like a dimmer. Open, close would be full 100% dim and 0% dim, I forget which is which since I think it was backwards out of the box. Up, stop, down are different and operate things like the Urtsi or Zrtsi, not to.say that zwave controllers won’t respond to those buttons some I think some do (at least to up, down).
To get yours working, you might check your Luup files for the Somfy D and I file and maybe just check the box to restart Luup and click go. Check to see that you can operate your shades using the buttons on the front of the urtsi making sure the dial is on the proper channel. Also make sure to leave the dial on one on the urtsi when trying to operate it through Vera.

Ah, now that makes more sense! So 50% should mean half way open! I get it now:)
Thank you for the explaination!
Now I’ll try to get it communicating tonight, thanks!
Do you have the dial on the URTSI set to 1?
The dial servers 2 purposes, if using the local URTSI buttons it chooses which channel to control (also the same for programming), and if sending commands remotely it chooses which URTSI ‘it’ is.
So a 0101U command is the first URTSI, the first channel on that URTSI and the Up command.
A 0201U is the second URTSI, first channel Up.
I don’t know the vera driver at all but I would assume it’s set to use the first URTSI, meaning keep the dial on 1.
You can also try sending these commands from a pc just to make sure the URTSI itself is functional, the commands are all in the manual.
Have you made sure your dial is left on #1 when you are done programming it with the shade IDs (jogging with remote, etc)?
Make sure you are using the RS232 port (middle modular port) on the back and not the RS485 port. Also you can try triggering the URTSI using hyper terminal on a PC and experiment with your TX and RX connections to make sure you have the pins correct. I typically use a DB9 to RJ45 adapter and set the pins temporarily until I know it works, then set the pins permanently.
I added the URTSI II as a second remote to the local room’s DecoFlex wall controls. I recieve the no implementation message for the Open/Close/Slider, but the Up, Stop, and Down buttons work great.
One key learning for me was the blind numbers in the Vera plugin are 01-16. The dial switch equates letters A through F stand for channels 10 through 15, 0 for 16. These are the blind ID’s that you will use in the advanced section of the device tab. Mine for example for dial switch 0,1,2,3 equates to a setting in the vera plugin to 16,01,02,03.
Don’t forget to switch the dial switch back to #1 position for Vera to control it as has been repeated in the forum many times, but I always forget during testing/programming.
