Does anyone have tips for configuring this device- the xml and json definitions? It appears as a dimmable bulb after pairing. It could be the bathroom exhaust fan I have it connected to is not compatible with any control other than on/off, but at the very least I would like to not have the device show as a light. If there is a fix for this… could you email me too? The problem with the 0% to 100% dimmer for a 3 level switch is the % doesn’t match up with the 3 speeds. One time 67% might be high, next time might be medium. It’s random on other percentages, not the just the borderline ones.
Examples:
If running at high speed I usually need a call for below 50% to drop to medium.
If running at low speed I usually need a call for above 50% to raise to medium.
Not the end of the world. I just ask Alexa to change the % a few times and it eventually gets to the speed I want. But, if there is a fix I want it!!! 
I’m having the same issue so I am interested in whatever work around you have identified.
