help--setting up network

I was using a Linksys router with the Vera box connected to it. I kept having problems losing the Internet connection. So, I eliminated the Linksys router and connected Vera directly to the modem. Now, I have two computers connected to Vera, but I have two others that will not connect. when I right click on the Vera box in network connections and look at properties, I show that the IP address is192.###.##.# But on the login page of find vera just below "set up Vera your home network, I have IP address 70.##.###.##.###

Is this going to be a problem? I’d rather not go through setting up again on my other wireless devices if I’m just going to have to redo them later. Are there any other changes that I need to make in vera, now that I’ve made these changes?

If you click on the box on FindVera where it says the 70… address, does it actually connect?
That 70… address: is that your external address by any chance?

yes, that is the address of my Internet provider. After months of problems using a linksys router and vera, it seems that getting rid of the Linksys router did the trick. My Internet speed is much faster. I’m not constantly losing my internet connection.

For others who might read this even after eliminating the Linksys router, I had trouble getting on the wireless network with two older computers. But I found out that if I set the the encryption on Vera to WAP+WAP2. Everything worked.

For people like me who have limited experience with networks. In setup, go to Advanced -->Net &WiFi → Encryption
