Help reading logs after errors

So my EDGE is now starting to act up. I noticed it was taking long time to send z-wave commands, then I noticed sometimes apps are slow or won’t connect. I started watching restart logs thinking it was restarting which has happened but not very often and not when I have freazing like right now. So I decided to check the log using
http://veraip/cgi-bin/cmh/log.sh?Device=LuaUPnP.

I thought it should continue to scroll for ever but That also seems to stop quickly. Anyways I see a repeat value but need your guys help to tell me whats going on.

10 03/24/15 10:51:53.489 luvd_get_info /etc/cmh-ludl/S_Scene1.xml conn (nil) <0x71713520>
10 03/24/15 10:51:53.490 luvd_open /etc/cmh-ludl/S_Scene1.xml <0x71713520>

This seems to be clogging up the log?

EDIT: during the last 10 to 15 min I was having issues connecting or just using the VERA (like it was froze or bogged down) when I ran the log it would just stop. I could refresh the browser and it would run a bit and just stop. Now that its back up and seems back to normal again I run the url and it just keeps running the log like it should.

I just checked the restart log again and don’t show any restart from today.

I’ll post that screen shot and also a current LOG of now when its running fine and the Log is flowing.

You might want to pull that log down and replace it with a sanitized version. It has sensitive information in it like camera passwords.

Speaking of cameras… The final second of that log file has eight image requests on the camera. Eight images per second, from a single camera, might be a heavy load especially if it is a large image.

I’d look into the camera load as a source for your slowdowns/freezes.

Thanks I have removed the 2nd longer long to clean it up. The first one is still up. Cameras can be removed as I bypass them and stream direct in Imperihome for viewing. The only thing I want is the motion sensor from the Blueiris Plugin. Maybe need to work on getting rid of the plugin or cameras from the plugin and keeping only the motion sensors.

EDIT logs back up I think cleaned.

Did you find anything on the error log? The one while it was freezing?

I don’t see any errors in Errors.txt, save for a couple of insignificant Ping errors.

Though I don’t really know what they are, the bunches of luvd_open /etc/cmh-ludl/S_Scene1.xml messages look like file access logging, as one might see if they have debug turned on. Do you have Verbose logging enabled?

Yes, should it be off?

Yes, you should disable verbose logging unless you are trying to track something down and have USB logging enabled.

Ok I’ll drop that, must have been on by default or Vera did it during one of the times they were in there.

I can’t get it off. I uncheck it the green swirly comes on that then it stop and rechecks it back on at the same time. I can get everything else on that page to work right but for some reason this only stays on.

I’m on ui7 latest with EDGE.

EDIT: I just picked up the phone and called VERA they got if off now.

Nice! Call tech support and problem resolved in under 30 minutes.

What was The error?
Since I added camera, Vera is slow

Hard to say I had them turn that off, I removed my 6 cameras from VERA and that problem seems to be gone, but I still have an issue every once in awhile with delayed PLEG stuff that I’m looking into.

For example earlier today my wife left home and PLEG didn’t see the front porch motion (BI camera sending Http command to virtual motion) for 10 after she was gone. I can watch the camera and I have checked the timestamp on the last tripped in the virutal sensor and it didn’t match up with PLEG timestamp. But when she came back home everything was spot on. So I don’t know.

I have no reboots, I been watching that log, and just watching the VERA log its alot cleaner now that I removed a bunch of things.
