Hi

I have two questions

How to read existing home ID from any device?
How to set particular home ID to Vera?

My idea is make Danfoss CC and Vera to work together by following steps

  • first to set up Danfoss system: Danfoss living Connect plus Danfoss CC
  • get home ID from one of Danfoss Living Connect thermostats
  • set the same home ID in Vera

I hope Danfoss Living Connect thermostats will receive commands from Vera and Danfoss CC

How to set particular home ID to Vera?

UNTESTED, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK:

Identify Vera’s HomeID ([tt]ADD/HomeID[/tt] or [tt]UI5:Setup->Z-Wave Settings->House/Node->House:[/tt]).
Backup dongle.
Patch dongle backup (checksum?).
Restore dongle backup.

Please note that Vera V1 dongle backups aren’t compatible with Vera V2 dongle backups.

IIRC, the [tt]HomeID[/tt] is stored in Vera’s filesystem. It may suffice to change the [tt]HomeID[/tt] in the filesystem - or it may be necessary to change the [tt]HomeID[/tt] in the filesystem in addition to the above steps.

But if Danfoss CC relies on proprietary Z-Wave commands, you won’t be able to interface your Vera with your Danfoss CC devices (without knowing the proprietary commands and without using [tt]SendData[/tt] and/or the low level Z-Wave interceptor that is being developed).
