GOING CRAZY - Please Help!! VRCS2-MR - 2 BUTTON CONTROLLER (Leviton)

So I have tried my hardest, searched all the forums, spoke to Leviton and can get no relief on the matter. Not really much on the topic with UI5, hoping to change that

Here is my setup and desired result:

Devices:
Vera Lite UI5
Leviton VRSC2-MR2 Button Load/Scene Controller
Leviton VRP03-1LW - Lamp Module (scene capable - on/off/dim)
ALL devices are in the same room and within 10’ of one another

Desired Result:
Button 1 on 2 button - Control Lamp Module ON/OFF through scene - NO Local Load
Button 2 on 2 button - Control Local Load - ON/OFF Fan

Where I am at so far…
Through reading many posts, most different, speaking to Leviton always coming to the same conclusion…It appears I am adding the 2 button switch correctly. Press both buttons together, wait for solid Amber, Not Red (puts 2 button device in learn mode). Then, bring Vera to the device, press battery button 2 seconds to initiate Learn on the Vera. Wait until learn light on Vera is flashing slow, then she goes fast. At that point, you can see the LED’s on the 2 button flash together, then separately. First, the top button, followed by the second, then they both turn off. I then press and hold the + (add zwave button) on Vera to save and power off Vera. Vera is plugged back in and upon restart, web interface shows 3 NEW Devices. 2 Button Scene Controller and separate 2 ON/OFF Switches. I then (using the wrench icon) assign all 3 devices to the same room (Living Room). The next step, create the Scenes. I create 4 Simple Scenes SEE IMAGE BELOW. One to turn LR Lamp Module ON - One to turn LR Lamp OFF - One to turn LR Fan (the 2 button that was just created) ON and finally, one to turn the LR Fan OFF. It is my understanding that these are needed for the Device: 2 Button Controller in the Scenes option to tell each of the 2 buttons what to do in the ON and OFF state.

Well, as you guessed, I am having trouble.

Here is what is working so far with this configuration. Matters not how many times I have Excluded the devices, Included the device, nothing seems to work. I have tried to press and hold each button to amber and learn them separately. You don’t get the DEVICE: 2 Button Scene controller (where the scene options are shown below).

This is what is happening at this point:
Both relays in the switches can be controlled by Vera - I press ON/OFF in web interface on device, they each click ON/OFF inside the switch.

AT THE 2 BUTTON SWITCH:
Pressing #1 top button (lamp - no load attached) nothing happens, no relay switch, no scene activation (lamp module attached to scene).

Pressing #2 bottom button (fan - load attached) fan can be controlled ON/OFF by Vera and switch.

Please, can anyone help me out…this is killing me after countless attempts and hours of research with no satisfaction.

From other posts, I can see there is a need for this help and I will gladly make a nice detailed posts with the process once I have the steps needed.

Thank you in advance!!

PS: So excited to try and work with my new my 4 buttons still in the box - NOT!!! LOL

I don’t have one of these devices, but have you tried using the scenes under the Automation tab? Setup a trigger for each button (1 for on, 1 for off), then using the interface, setup the devices you want (i.e., click the ON button in the web interface when the trigger for on tripped/fired).

It might work better than trying to use the integrated scene function of the device. Especially since you said that you can control the on/off functions of each device through the web interface.

I do have these devices.

These instructions DO work.

It sounds like you have the switches included properly, so I would not waste time repeating that procedure. But, you do not have the configurations, scenes and associations correct yet. Follow the linked directions.

A glimmer of hope!!!
Thanks to you both…as soon as I get back from work, will get it a shot!!

Thanks VERY much…

This forum ROCKS!!!
Best 800 number I have ever used!! LOL
One of the main reasons I went with this HUB.

SOlivas, since I am pretty confident I can get the switches working, they both work in Vera as separate devices now, can you better help me understand the triggers.

I played with these before but the available options made no sense to me?

I guess my question is this, I can only create a trigger on a scene…how can attach the scene to the single device?

BTW - The 2 Button Lamp shown in image is the #1 switch (scene only - no load) for lamp.

Re-read the instructions I linked to.

When you create or edit the scene you choose which devices it controls and what state they should be in(such as light On) on the scene’s Device tab. Then on the scene’s Trigger tab, choose the scene controller(not the load) as the device, ten next to the ā€œWhat type of event is the trigger?ā€, you choose ā€œA scene is activatedā€.
