GoControl LB65R6Z and Halo RL56 Recessed LED

I’ve been using Vera for five years, but I haven’t been to this board in a while because I haven’t changed anything. I recently did a remodel and did a complete Z-Wave install and went with Veraplus, again. I need to control some recessed lights independently from the switch, so a few lights caught my eye.

Halo Recessed RL56 - (Zigbee)
Very nice, you can dim and control color temperature. I paired it with the Vera (latest firmware) and it didn’t even come close to configuring the light. I uninstalled it and after doing so, the Vera completely died and I had to restore from a backup.

GoControl LB65R6Z - (Z-Wave)
Only 650 lumens, but dimmable, and would serve my purpose with 2700K warm white. Vera can add it as a dimmer, but can’t configure or even contact the device. I have reset the light and paired it probably 9-10 times.

Anyone have experience with either of these, and any idea from Vera folks when support will be added?

I ordered a SmartThings hub and it arrived yesterday. I’m switching over and leaving Vera. Those interested will find my VeraPlus on eBay!

I don’t mean to be negative, but I got all of my devices added to my Smartthings hub today. I can’t believe how much easier this is, and I’m sure it has a lot to do with Samsung buying the Smartthings name.

It isn’t perfect, and I think a lot of problems are a result of the switch or device (which usually gets blamed on the vera), but I’m talking about the interface and the advancements there. The mobile app is light years ahead. The community on GitHub is ridiculous.

Sorry, but this is goodbye.
