GE keypad

Hi there. I’m trying to assign scenes to buttons on the GE keypad and something is not working. Here’s what I did:

  1. Paired the device following the keypad instructions and the normal Vera enrollment process

  2. created a scene that is triggered by scene button 1 on the keypad

And that’s it. When I press the button though nothing happens.

Do you know what I’m missing? Am I supposed to add the keypad as a secondary controller? If so how do I do that?

Is that the GE 45631? If so, there should be some existing topics on it. It appears the device is troublesome in getting it to work the way you want, and it’s said to have an addressing issue where it can’t talk to any nodeID greater than 32 (IIRC).

I never could get my GE 45631 to work properly with Vera.

So as a workaround, after making the keypad a secondary controller to Vera (so that the ZWave network info was downloaded to the keypad), I then directly programmed the keypad using the keypad programming instructions. Obviously you cannot get Vera scenes this way, but the keypad will be functional to some extent at least.
