I have some questions about this device and hopefully someone can help me.
I installed this motion sensor as a generic z-wave device and it paired as two devices. How can you tell which of the two devices is the parent device?
Now that it is paired, I set-up several scenes where using I’m using motion sensor in my hallway as a trigger for my overhead hallway recessed lights. I can’t get it to trigger anything. I even tried to use the Plug-In, titled Smart Switches, but it wouldn’t work either. Has someone figured this out or what should I try next?
Would I be better off returning it to the store?
Does anybody know why this device has yet to be accepted and given its own profile for pairing devices by Vera?
I have the two devices set-up for the motion sensor. I’m using the device that has the battery indicator. I can’t get it to work as a trigger lights when someone walks into hallway. Has anybody got this to work?
I’ve added attachments of the GE Motion Sensor Device and the two scenes I’ve built, which turn on and off lights. The LIghts off Scene has a built in 2 minute delay.
Can anybody take a look at this and tell me what I might be doing wrong or what I may have forgotten?
As I mentioned in my previous response, the system has your motion detector set up as a generic I/O device. Under Device–>Advanced, make these changes:
Reload the LUUP engine (Settings–>Z-Wave Settings–> Advanced—> Reload Engine). When the LUUP engine finishes, you should now see a motion detector icon and the options in scene creation should be correct.
