GE Concord 4 Alarm. Arm away (no delay) not working.

Anyone have a GE concord 4 alarm system? If you do you will notice that when you arm away you will need to open your store and close it. This will let the alarm system know that you are away from your home. But what if you want to arm away and stay inside? You cannot because if it doesn’t detect you open the door and close it it’ll revert back to ARM STAY. This is a stupid feature in concord 4 design and cannot be disable.

Work around is ARM AWAY and put in your code and press 4.
So 3+code+4. This will arm away and pressing 4 will do the no delay. This will work!!. I’m currently using the concord 4 plugin
http://code.mios.com/trac/mios_ge-concord

But cannot get it to arm away (no delay). Anyone know how write a LUA code using this to send to the alarm device to do a
3+code+4. This is arm away instant. Or how are you arming away?

Hey aboyz,

I’ve read a few of your posts on this forum and have a couple questions for you since there’s no longer support for the plugin.

I was able to setup the concord 4 and vera connection with my serial adapter, created the concord device and partition device. The concord device doesn’t show my zones and the partition device doesn’t allow me to arm the system, etc, saying it cannot find the partition. What other steps did you take after adding the partition in as a device? I’ve to the same point you mention here http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,12000.15.html at the bottom of the page.

I’ll need to reconnect my programming keypad to my concord to verify the partition # - I think the current partition in the concord is stored as partition 0. Looks like the plugin for the vera may need the partition # to be 1 or higher. Do you know if I copy or change partition 0 to partition 1 on the concord if I’ll then be able to access and control the system via the vera?

Thanks in advance!
