Garage Door Wiring - Fibaro Relay

Hi all,

I have a garage motor with a few open terminals (NO/24V/COM/SB2/SB4) (Pic attached)

I then have a Fibaro 1 x 2,5 kw relay.

How can I connect the relay to my garage motor to add it to my Vera Plus system?

Thanks!

Apologies… Attached the wrong one. These are the open terminals I have on the garage motor.

Hi kravkof,

It’s not clear what your goal is. It might also help to know the brand of garage opener.

Hi Kravkof

Usually you connect PB to ground to operate the garage door unit so you would want to connect the I and O (in and out) terminals on the relay to those terminals.
Of course you would need to power the relay as well which you should be able to get from that 24v supply.

Hi JCH / JohnRob,

I want to control the garage door motor via the relay…

I found a manual for the motor and JCH you are correct, the GND and the PB connected together will open the door.

So… the GND and PB need to be connected to IN/OUT on the relay… I have the following terminals on the Fibaro relay… :
S1/S2/Q/IN/L/N

Q is Output terminal of the load and IN is input terminal for load power supply.

Does it matter which is connected to which? (IN/Q and PB/GND)

Also, how to I power the relay? As far as I know it is a 110V/220V relay…

Thank you for your replies!

Hi Kravkof
Sorry for the late reply I never got a notification telling me you had replied ???
Anyway I hope you have got this sorted ! if not…
Yes you are correct the IN/O are connected to GND and PB (doesnt matter which way around)
Also you can power the fibaro with 24vdc at described here … Wireless Smart Home and Home Automation | FIBARO
So check if that 24v terminal is an output with your multimeter and if it is you can use that to power it!
Power to the L and neurtal (negative) to N
Leave the S1 and S2 empty if your are not connecting a switch.

Hi all, I got it working… Thank you all for your input!
