Hi Guys,

forgive my ignorance, but how does auto create actually work?!!

I have a garage remote that has 4 buttons on it, would it be possible to use the redundat 2 to control say a virtual switch in vera? I cannot seem to see anything automatically created, and there are no clear steps that I can find to guide me through the process.

Also would it be possible to connect up my garage remote via RFXtrx? I understand there are some security issues however there is nothing in the garage at the moment and id just like to play with it a bit to see how it works.

I’m not familiar with the remote you’ve given. You’d first have to find out if it transmits at 433.92 Mhz. You can do this by looking up the device on the FCC web site. The transmitter should have an FCC ID visible on it. Use that ID on the web site: FCC ID Search | Federal Communications Commission
There should be information there about the frequency used. If it’s not 433.92 Mhz then it won’t be visible to the transceiver.
