Just purchased this app based on the positive feedback and (hopefully) future universal iPad version as well.
Unfortunately I have a small issue that is totally unrelated to the operation of the app, but I’m wondering if there is a workaround.
The problem is that after getting a repair done on my iPhone 4 I realised a while later that the top of the screen doesn’t work for touch any more… the top 6mm just can’t be selected - not good for swiping down notification centre or using apps that put controls at the very top of the screen and don’t support rotation! Most apps rotate and you can flip the phone upside down to make the “top” of the screen work…
Is there a way to disable the fullscreen mode so that the top bar is visible, pushing the app controls down into the “touch zone”? I’m hoping to avoid changing the purchase price of the app by about 20000% by buying an iPhone 5 to go with it ;D
Thanks,
Mark
Interesting use case
It isn’t possible to rotate the screen as a whole; as you have seen the button bar stays in place and each control rotates individually. The reason is to keep the screen ratio the same in portrait and landscape, and because a horizontal button bar in landscape would eat up too much valuable vertical screen real estate.
Even so, it would make sense to have the button bar at the top and right side up, if you rotate the phone upside down. Can’t make any promises, but I’d it’s an easy fix I wi add it to the next release
Didn’t you plan a use-case like that into your functional requirements? Developers these days… :
Haha
The fact that you responded and have made the effort to do something about it makes me very happy and secure about the future of your app. Thank you!
In the meantime I’ve just realised that I can possibly set it up on the iPad and then plonk it onto the phone through iTunes. Would that work or would I still need to hit some buttons to load it? I’m guessing that I would be able to swipe between screens once it’s on there??
Thanks
Unfortunately you need to hit a button on the toolbar in order to load a config.
The upcoming v1.2 release will support upside-down rotation.
Just tried out 1.2 and it does indeed support rotation. Thank you so much for putting that in, even for such a strange use-case. Now to get configuring…
