Two days ago 80% of my z wave devices showed up as unable to connect. I have tried multiple heals, resetting the z wave chip, resetting the entire device with removing/attaching some of the z ave devices, rolling back to backups. Nothing seems to fix it. The heals usually report success but the devices still won’t connect.
I suspect the z wave radio is failing but thought I’d reach out to this group since I can’t seem to get any support from micasa ( Tried to contact support through all three channels with no response).
Anyone else experienced this and found if it was a hardware or software issue?
Are you talking about the “can’t detect device” error in UI7 ? If you are, yes this is a problem reported by few of us and known by Vera team. I have myself 2 devices impacted.
I don’t think so, I’m getting “Unable to get information on node” errors now. I’ve also seen “Device Connection Error 2” in the past. Last night I did a full reset and went through a fresh setup rather than using a backup to make sure I wiped any config files that got corrupted. It allows me to do initial setup of z-wave devices but then looses connection to all of them.
Is that the same issues you are seeing?
No, your problem looks different…
Thanks. Hopefully I hear back from customer service soon since I think I need a new unit and unfortunately blew up some of my remote pairings in trying to troubleshoot causing a real pain in some of my former 3-way switch configurations…
