Fortrezz Siren (The good and bad)

I ordered the siren and found it to work incredibly well. I loved it so much that I ordered another, but they do not perform in the same fashion. The second one’s alarm only sounds for 3 to 5 seconds and that is it. It will not come back on and the lights keep flashing. I sent #2 back and received #3 which still does not do what #1 does.

Pairing these was extremely easy, but I feel that I may be overlooking something.

Any suggestions?

It’s probably defective. What does it show up as a Dimmer or Appliance ON/OFF switch?

There are two models and each acts differently, do a search here on FortrezZ. I like their stuff but I have had some defective units and the water alarms work well, but I’ve had a few replacement units sent to me, but most of those were prototypes I was testing.

One device I do love is the water valve, I can turn off the whole house water supply if any leak is detected, it’s really amazing and so easy to setup. One of those devices you never use, but in my tests it was flawless.

Give them a call if you can’t get it to perform properly.

They both show as dimmable lighting. I just do not understand why the 2 would not perform like the first one.

@myhomeserver:

Cool. I am interested. What sensors are you using ?

That valve has a built in probe that is prob on a 6 foot lead and stainless steel probes. I hang that in the lowest spot in my basement just above the floor, so any water will trigger it quickly.

Then, I have the FortrezZ water/temp alarms around the home, and they tell Vera and Vera then shuts down the power. You can also do direct association, so the water alarm and water valve can work together even if Vera is down
