I noticed a few days ago that the network light was flashing on my vera lite. Today I tried to connect to the web interface to view what the reason might be and find the web interface doesn’t work. I rebooted the unit, same results.
It still works to control zwave controlled from my OpenHAB instance. I can ssh to it and the ip information and routing is correct. It gets this info from my dhcp server which hasn’t changed anyway.
This is often an indicator of DNS resolution issues. The most common resolution is to restart. Again, yes. You may wish to leave Vera unplugged for a minute, before starting up again.
Log into your router and see what IP your Vera is using. You may need to know it’s MAC address to see it in the list. If it is assigned DHCP it will show up in the DHCP list. If you already have your Vera using a static IP or an IP assigned to it from the router, document it. Then you should be able to use that IP directly to log into the controller using your browser.
You can and should tell your router to always assign an IP to your Vera so it always has the same IP. That way you know it and can program other devices to communicate with your Vera.
