Ok, I’m new to this and am starting by trying a Wayne Dalton Thermostat as the first item. The Vera picks it up as a switch not a thermostat. Tried it numerous ways, long bind, short bind etc., and think that perhaps udating to *.979 or whatever from *.616 might help but where do I get it and how do I install it?
I’m on .616 firmware and running the WD thermostat. The key is pressing the bind button on the WD very quickly and shortly. Do not hold the bind button down for even a second. I had the same problem when I was using the Hawking HomeRemote Pro.
I have upgraded to the .979 firmware, that part went fine after getting the right links, Thanks. Now the Vera picks up the thermostats as appliance modules. I have been pressing the bind button for about a second, 0 - press, 1, released at 2, any less and it doesn’t bind. So is this really a WD problem or what?

If you can’t get it the first time, reset it (http://wiki.micasaverde.com/index.php/Reset_Node ) and then pair it back.
