Hi,
I want to write a PC program and need to find Vera’s local LAN address (e.g. 192.168.1.5). Vera’s WAN port is connected to my home LAN. How can I find it?
Thanks!

Have a look here:

Sorry, I forgot to mention that there is no internet available, so I cannot build on the mios.com location service.
The only thing I can think of with out getting very complex is to have the vera on a static ip and have the program allow for input of the ip address.
It reminds me of a problem with udhcpc on the vera.
/etc/init.d/dnsmasq script starts udhcpc when the vera is configured as dhcp client. udcpc quit after receiving and setting the IP configuration. Unfortunatly, most of hdcp servers give a temporary lease and the dhcp client must ask an update before it finishs…
If the client does not renew its lease, the server can reuse its IP address for another host.
Maybe you should fix this issue in the next firmware release by setting udhcpc running as background…
