Fibaro Switch

I’m a bit confused about this:

I know I can trigger the output either by S1/S2 oder by any other Z-Wave device including over Vera Lite.
But can I get Vera Lite to trigger another device if S1/S2 is ON for a second?

So for example if I switch on the light in the kitchen (over Fibaro) it will also trigger another device such as a wall plug.
Right?

Thanks!

Yes. Using Vera scenes or associations on the Fibaro, you can cause activation of the Fibaro to also act on other Z-Wave devices. See Scenes and Associations.

Thanks for the quick reply.

So this is quite what the Fibaro Universal Sensor can do except the switch can also be triggered from other devices?

I don’t understand you last post.

My reply was with regard to Fibaro relays and did not consider universal sensors.

Vesternet has a good and thorough explanation of scenes and associations.

The Universal Sensor can send me information if an input is triggered too but I can’t switch it ON from the Vera Lite.
If you could switch the Universal Sensor remotely you could use this instead of a switch for dry contact switching - which is not the case as far as I know.

Are you still trying to use the Fibaro Universal Binary Sensor to activate your Somfy RTS remote? The UBS outputs cannot be controlled by Z-Wave. This is not a limitation of VeraLite it is just the way the UBS is designed.

No, I just wanted to be sure it is possible with the switches.

The only thing I want to do with the Universal Sensor is to get a signal (dry contact) to trigger something else - but not connected to the Universal Sensor.
