Fibaro in the US

Just got this Email from Fibaro:

Tomorrow morning we will be able to take your pre-order for:
HomeCenter2
Flood Sensor
Door/Window
RGBW
These products will ship in approximately 3-4 weeks.

The following devices are about 2 weeks from pre-order. (Delivery time TBD, but roughly the same 3 weeks from pre-order)
Micro Single Relay
Micro Double Relay
Micro Dimmer
Micro Roller Shutter2
Universal Sensor
Tomorrow morning the pricing for these will be made public so I ask that you give me until tomorrow for that. The Smoke Detector, US Wall Plug, and 2 other new devices are roughly 2 months away from completion.

I am looking forward to buy some RGBW control devices and maybe some relays if they work on my Vera lite. Heard really good things about there devices.

That’s great news, definitely interested in a few of their products…

So… where’s the pricing? Where does one get the honor of pre-ordering?

Another slipped delivery?

I placed in inquiry on their website about when they were going to offer products for sale in the US. A nice gentleman promptly replied asking what I was looking for. I got the impression that they would make an announcement on their Facebook page within a week about their opening for orders.

any update on this? did anyone hear back from Fibaro US?

Wow. Not cheap.

But, congratulations on being one of the first to pay top dollar!

Lol, I thought the same thing. I didn’t buy anything from the pr-order. I can wait until some places start to carry them.

Yikes! :o I didn’t think HC2 would be that expensive. I was thinking maybe around $400-500.

I am looking forward to the RGBW controller though. I have a few uses for that at home, and from searching the forums, can be used by Vera already. Their website for describing their products has a lot of good ideas on how you could use them in the home as opposed to just “here’s a device”.

Dom

Fibaro is a Polish outfit, so the strong Euro doesn’t help  On the plus side you probably don’t pay VAT (21% here) so it sort of evens out: those prices more or less match what I pay in euro’s, $ for ?. Same as with Apple stuff etc.

Fibaro stuff is pricey, but so far I’ve found it to be of superior quality to most other brands, and they often add nifty extra features.

Damn - and haha!

That HC2 isn’t cheap at all :S It’s a pretty enough box but the aluminium design is already starting to feel a bit dated. Sticking with Vera. Their accessories however…

So… Two months later…

Has anyone seen any product or received confirmation of shipment? All I hear is crickets.

I submitted an order for a Flood Sensor on Jan 24th, and I received it about a week ago. Unfortunately I am traveling, so I can’t play with it. :frowning:

I got my flood sensor yesterday. Spent a couple of hours fighting with Vera and Vera Alerts but finally got it working. Works great once you get around the fact that Vera specializes in making simple tasks difficult… :stuck_out_tongue:

I received the door sensor and RGBW controller last week. Fibaro also emailed me setup instructions for Vera. Now, I’m hoping for a snow day to play around with them!

@ufd108: does Vera see the temperature sensors built into the floor sensor?

you have to change the device file so that Vera sees the sensor, see http://forum.micasaverde.com/index.php/topic,16214.msg125202.html#msg125202

Thanks capjay! I should’ve known I could’ve found it via searching. I forgot that it’s not really a new product.

How are you guys buying these? Do you have to email them directly? The link below says “coming soon…”

Yes, once you change the device file you will see the temp.
