After included a new relay switch (Fibaro FGS 211) I see 3 devices.
One is the master, and the others are slaves.
How to do to see only one device on the dashboard ?
I’m using a Veralite.
i have the same. not sure if this is a bug or not but you will always see 3 devices.
The master which is related to S1 or O1 of the device and device 2.
So if you ignore the master you would like to see at least 2 modules, S1 or O1 and S2 or O2 depending on whether you use the fibaro to detect input switching on S1 or S2 or whether you use them as outputs,
I have the same too. :-\
Further, my two outputs are in two differents rooms and I can’t separate them. This is the master’s room that defines the twice devices.
Not very practical
Same issue here.
Welcome!

Thanks, I will try this solution.
I have the same problem. all my FIbaro 2x1.5 shows up as 3 devices.
is this a bug, or there is some extra functionality for this? I can see that the Master are exact same as one of the slave, which control the same source.
Hi all,
I bought myself a vera 3 last week including a fibaro FGS221 2x 1,5 kw.
When I activated the device on the vera 3 it showed 3 devices. I don’t really understand the puropose of the 3th device.
The first one says in de configuration it is activated by Zwave , the other 2 are activated by “appliance module” those 2 are the “effective” relais I think.
The first one also activates the first relais. I think this is some kind of “master” option . but can anyone tell me the real purpose of this “extra device”, and what you can do with it .
many thanks,
Cor
The Fibaro double switch appears as three devices: the parent (look at the settings tab and the ID will have a numeric value) and two child devices for each of the switches which have ID’s of e1 and e2. Any configuration changes should be set on the parent device not the child. However switching from the dashboard or within a scene should be conducted on the child device not the parent. In any drop down list the parent will be first (e.g. device #4) and the two child devices will follow (#5,#6). To save confusion you could individually name the devices: Child 1 = Switch1, Child 2 = Switch 2 and the parent Switch1+2. I find that makes it easier to identify different parent devices if you have more than one Fibaro. However you can’t have the devices in different rooms - the children live with the parent

Thanks, it is clear now.

Hi guys, I’m stealing Cors thread
Is it possible to configure this device so switch S1 don’t affect the “parent”. I would like to have both S1 and S2 as “virtual” scene switches and not affect the relay itself.
My english isn’t that good but I hope you can understand what I’m trying to accomplish :
So using ONE switch to swithc TWO lamps → room1 & room2… just so simple… ad one switch to one room and the other to the other room… and “hide” the parent.
Just like a normal family…
micasa? When will this be possible?
The reason for the Master device is that you have to apply any settings change (associations and switch options) to the Master, not to the individual devices. There’s a few other devices that work like this.
Right; I think it may have to do with how the devices represent themselves to Vera. So unless special per-device handling is implemented by MCV, this won’t be transparent to the user.
It’s OK to have a master “device” for parameterizing the whole switch. But why can’t I just put those together in a “dummy room” or hide them from Vera devices (not dashboard).
Due to the fact the “master” always follows the slaves and vice verca, having e.g. 4 of those fibaro switches in a room would result in having 4 “non functioning” switches (dummies) in my overview. And even 8(!) when I use the 1x3kw switches, because these also show up with 3(!) devices.
micasa is helpfull in helping to “hide” the dummy devices on request. But then… I can’t get them back myself when I want to reconfigure. And 2nd I still can’t devide over rooms…
I would NOT RECOMMEND these fibaro switches to anyone with VERA at this moment.
ADDED: I have been playing with “virtual switches” to try to have a virtual switch in a specific room to control a device in my “dummy” room… no succes… I used APP Virtual ON/OFF Switches v1.32 but I don’t know how to handle this nor can I find any support on this…
I find the Vera UI to be a rather poor interface for day-to-day use anyway. I only use it for configuration and programming, and the extra devices don’t really get in the way in that case. If they really bother you, UI5 allows you to put your favorite devices on the dashboard and hide the rest.
Just to echo Intveltr , I have a couple of temp/humidity devices, which are a parent child set up (3 devices) I use the dashboard and use “Pinned Devices” so it only shows me the devices I want to see.
The Devices tab is a real mess and I rarely go there, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Dashboard/Pinned Devices was MiCasaVerde’s way of addressing the parent child devices.
Dashboard pinning Works on vera locally. Does not work on vera apps…
Sorry, not sure what you mean ?
I mean that you can pin devices on the dashboard in vera UI. If you use apps (homebuddy, authomation, etc.) they don;t take over the “hidden” devices. They only show ALL devices, not the dashboard devices with the hidden devices.
Clear?
