Fibaro dimmer plus vera lite...typical on/off behaviour?

Added as a generic z wave device as not listed under dimmers. I have a 2 wire light system.

After putting vera lite into include mode, 3 clicks of the switch adds dimmer OK.

Switch turns light on by clicking switch down (as one would expect, its a “normal” light switch). To turn light off…you have to click the switch twice to the off position…not once as one would expect.

Is there a way to have the switch just act like a normal on/off i.e. one press for on, one press for off?

Assuming you have a toggle-switch you shold configure parameter 14 to 1 (default is 0 for momentary switches).

Hi and thanks for the response. Yes its a toggle switch Im trying to add variable 14 and set at 1 (and 1 byte dec) but the current value never changes after I select “configure node right now” under “advanced” i.e. When I return to the “options” page the variable remains set at 0, and the “data size” changes back to “default”. Im using UI7.

Any thoughts on why the variable is not updating?

Thanks.

Did you save and reloaded after configuration of parameter 14 to 1?

In UI 7, when you change a parameter and click outside the field, it “saves” (a pop up message says this). There is no save button on the screen.

I then selected “back”, then went into the “advanced” screen where it allows you to select reconfigure node.

I then went back to main home page and reloaded browser.

Went back to check the parameter and no change.

Im not sure what else I can do.

Sorry, I use UI5 but maybe someone with UI7 can help.

I guess the real question is: How do I get a parameter to save in UI7?

you go back to the main screen of the device and click save changes under the device name

Thanks everyone.

Tried many combinations, some worked, some didn’t. Same set of commands worked once, then on another (same type) dimmer, they didn’t work.

Managed to fumble my way through it regardless, now have a full suite of z wave devices working…time for a backup eh?

Good to here that it work!
