Fibaro Dimmer FGD 211 S1 and S2 group association problem

Hey

I have in my living room 3 dimmer that control 3 seperate ligthning. I have 3 individual switches connected each to S1 on the dimmers. They all work fine but I also want one 4 switch connected to one of the 3 S2 inputs to control all the 3 dimmers at the same time. I have created a group 2 and associated all 3 dimmers to it. But the problem is that when I press the 4 switch only the other to will turn on/off/ dim and not the the dimmer that has the wire connected to it. When I create Group 1 and associate all 3 it works fine.

So the solution will be to use S1 in one of the dimmers to turn all on/off/dim and then use S2 one the other to associate just the dimmer that control all the dimmers as an single group and get on/off/dim function that way.

Is there a problem with S2 to associate itself?

group 2 actually has special meaning and isn’t just another group that you can use.

That is your problem. The Group number actually means how you want the association toe behave, not for creating different clusters of associated devices.

Just use Group 1 for all associations, association are one directional and You can have multiple associations.

It feels like you just need to associate the S2 switch on the third dimmer to the S1 to all three switches. Do not associate the S1 dimmers back to the S2 switch that is not needed for the behavior you have described.
