Fibaro 4 in 1 Battery Life

Hi Everyone.

I think I may have a problem with my fibaro 4 in 1s. I’ve got three of them around the house and i’m not getting anywhere near the battery lifeIi would expect. In some cases its seems to only be a few months. I’ve got them all set on the default parameters. The other thing is the battery indicator doesn’t seem to match up. Yesterday for example my kitchen PIR just stopped responding and the battery indicator still shows it at 58%. Now putting in a replacement battery solves gets it working again but i wanted to see if anyone else had the same issue at all?

These are the gen 5 4 in 1 and they are about a year old. All 3 of them have had this issue at some point over the last year, each has had at least two battery changes and the one from yesterday would be instance number 3.

Any thoughts?

I had issues with these if they were located in a location when the tempurature fluxes a lot (like by an exterior door). By default they send a report every time the temp changes 2 degrees. If located by doors the vibration sensor can also be tripped repeatedly shortening battery life.

I have the following set and I get over a year battery even close to an exterior door:
Turn off vibration
change temp reporting to 20min instead of threshold ainterval (if you don’t need it turn it off)
Turn off light sensor threshold if you don’t need it (I use it in on location but not the other)

Vibration turned off: parameter 20 = 0
Temp thresh hold off: parameter 60 = 0
Temp report time on to 20min: parameter 64 = 1200
Light sensor turn off: parameter 40 = 0

Mine is a Gen 4 but I found you get a lot better battery life if you turn off what you don’t need and turn down chatty reports like temp depending on location.
