FAVORITE USES FOR VERA

I’m just curious to see what everybody has come up with on the creative side for uses of Vera and Zwave, besides the unlock the front door and turn on the lights applications.

We used a Scentsy warmer on a Zwave receptical to start a scent in the morning. Then the dimmer in our bedroom would gradually get brighter as a way to help wake up more gradually than a standard alarm clock.

How did you set the time for the light to wake you up?

Went to Automation Tab/New Scene/
Selected what light I wanted to turn on

Than went to the Schedules tab
“Add Schedule”

and did it based on the day of the week.

Thank for your reply. I found a App called VituralClock that allows me to set a time and then turn it on or off from my phone

See this post, just past the code into the luup tab of the scene, change the device number to that of the light switch you are using. you might need to play around with the start and end level, I think I have mine set to 1 and 50. And create a schedule for the time you would like it to start. this was one of the first things I ever did with my vera. works great.
