Fan light control Without Wall switch

Hello,

I have 2 ceiling fans with light kits installed. The fans are hardwired-they DO NOT have power switches The only way to operate the fans/lights is to manually “pull the chain”. NO wall Switch.

When i installed them 6 years ago, I placed a rf wireless fan controller (non zwave). I would like to remove the “hunter fan controller model 27185060” and place a zwave in its place. I cant seem to find any !!?? I can find the controllers that are placed inside the wall switch-BUT i DO NOT have the wall switch- fan is hardwired to pwr.

I have found several online- but all have been DISco’d

I mean like this seems simple enough?!!?

Thanks 8)

This is a nice unit… It has both a traditional remote control receiver AND a Zigbee receiver

It is NOT yet available in HD stores, but can be ordered from Hampton Bay as a service part…

Note, again, that it is Zigbee… and will NOT work with the Vera implementation of Zigbee. You would need a Wink Hub/Hub2 to get it to work properly.

The traditional fan remote that is incorporated into the unit is a 304.25 MHz device, and may or may not work with a Broadlink RM Pro 315MHz device.

Ok so…I have the vera plus and have used a couple of zigbee devices… so your saying that the hampton bay zigbee unit will not work with the vera plus?

bummer

So can you forward a link to order “service parts”

Zigbee is finicky that way…

That’s why I went with Z-Wave and also makes me wonder why Amazon chose Zigbee for the Echo 2.

INFO HERE

Zigbee may be finicky… But Vera is just plain bad implementation… It’s been almost two years since they released the Plus (and almost five years since they first announced a Vera with Zigbee) and the implementation is still virtually useless…

As is implementation of Insteon. If that worked, I’d have already swapped out my OEM fan controllers for Fanlincs. I can get the light dimmer portion of Fanlincs to work but not the fan speed control. If only I knew what parameters worked with them… Because of this not working I have started my quest for implementing and integrating fans into my Home Automation another way…

Can these be controlled through a Wink Hub and the Wink Connect Plugin?
