false notifications with Trane thermostat???

Am i doing something wrong, or is this a bug…

I set my Trane thermostat to notify if temp goes over 80. 2AM this morning
I start getting pages on my cell phone. ANY time the furnace kicks on I get an alert…

The notification I set looks like this in vera:
Notification Temperature goes above
Name High Temp Home
temperature: 80

The message sent is:
Event-High Temp Home 65 Device-Thermostat Room- Date-2010-03-23 23:12:37 #10155
Event-High Temp Home 64 Device-Thermostat Room- Date-2010-03-24 01:09:46 #10155

As you can see the temp is 64 & 65 degrees… The furnace kicked in 3 times last night and each
time I got a high temp alert…

Unit is a vera2, ui-3 with latest firmware.

I do believe that this a bug in the software. I had tried using that feature but quickly tired of the emails and sms messages every time the temp changed 1 degree. This is one item that I wish they would fix. It would be a very nice feature to use with a second home, besides it would relieve some of the work that “findvera” has to do.

I have the same problem with goes below Temperature. I wish I had the goes above 80 problem. I am in new england and 80 sounds pretty good right now.

It would be nice to get an alarm when my vacation home 100 miles away drops below 40 degrees.

+1 there. Sounds kind of basic to me but what do I know… I am just a customer.

ha!.. I set the 80 degree alert just as a test and was suprised as hell to be woke up at 2am when my cell phone got a text telling me that my 65 degree house was in fact 65 degrees…

Having the same issue with my trane thermostat… keeps notifying me when there is no rule broken. Must be a bug.

Hi,

I’ve added a bug report for this: http://bugs.micasaverde.com/view.php?id=985 and it will be fixed in case of a bug.
