I have fairly good success with Alexa controlling EZLO hub devices, but it is not perfect.

Nothing is any better than the experience you had with the Ezlo Alexa skill.
After adding the skill and painstakingly going through the list and checking and unchecking devices, and adding custom names for some, the Alexa app on my iPhone just arbitrarily chose whatever devices it wanted to, adding 15 “zone controllers” I don’t even have, and ignored all the custom names but 3.
I then removed the skill and went through the same process again, and had the EXACT same result…
The Ezlo skill just isn’t working in any logical way. The old Vera skill I used with my Vera worked very well.
