Express Controls 3-in-1 configuration settings

This sensor has many configuration settings that I would like to use, but I can’t see how to do that in our current software version. I’d like to control a light using the functionality that the sensor was made for, namely:

Turn on the light when motion is sensed - I’d like to adjust the motion sensitivity level
Turn off the light after motion stops - I want to adjust the amount of time the light stays on after motion ends
Don’t turn on the light if the room is sufficiently lit from daylight - I want to set the light threshold

Is it possible to control these configuration settings with Vera? Where do I find them?

This is for the Express Controls EZmotion 3-in-1 Sensor and the Homeseer HSM100 3in1.

You need to associate the motion detector with a z-wave light controller. You can use the Custom Z-wave settings button to do this. You can also set the light sensitivity for when to turn on and the timeout for when to turn off

Unfortunately this doesn’t work in any current Vera firmware, used to!

I thought I was going to get away without having to spring for a handheld controller. Ah, well, what’s another couple of hundred bucks?

Do you have any recommendations on which to buy?

You can set the sensitivity level by adjusting the parameter #1 option. It can be set between the range of 0 - 250. The higher the number the more sensitive it is. 0-200 is recommended if you use batteries.
Option #2 is the one I use the most. I usually set mine to 5 minutes.

Follow these WIKI instructions to set the value- There are also a few custom configuration settings for the sensor for things like Sensitivity, Timeout Delay, LED Enabled, Light Threshold, and so on. To set them, click the + button next to the device, choose ‘Custom Z-Wave Settings’, then ‘Add configuration setting’, put in the variable number that corresponds to the setting you want to change, choose a data size of ‘1 byte dec’ and enter the desired value, as shown below. Then click ‘Save’. Vera will attempt to re-configure the sensor. If it fails, probably because the sensor is asleep, you will see the red cog. Press the blue button on the sensor and you should get a green cog meaning the sensor has been configured with your new settings.

You don’t need a handheld controller

The motion sensor and light will associate so they will talk directly to each other

I am not aware of a handheld controller that will handle all the parameters of the HSM100/ EZMotion 3in1(same manufacturer)
