I have some GE/Jasco 45602 lamp modules and some of the application modules that I would like to exclude from the All On/All Off command. Does anyone know how to set them to be excluded from this?
I assume it’s setting one of the configuration parameters?
I assume you are questioning this from the instruction manual:
“Depending upon your primary controller, the 45609 switch can
be set to respond to ALL ON and ALL OFF commands in up to four
different ways. Some controllers may not be able to change the
response from its default setting. Please refer to your controller’s
instructions for information on whether or not it supports the configuration function and if so, how to change this setting”
I am not sure if there is a value you can change in the advanced tab from MiOS but a way to solve what you want is create a scene for “ALL ON” and “All OFF” and exclude the modules from that scene. I prefer this since I can have a shortcut on my phone (Home Buddy) for “All OFF” that I press when I leave the house.
Michael- That’s exactly what I had set up. However, I also have some of the GE remotes that, as secondary controllers, have an “all off” button that ignores anything in the Vera.
It turns out that under those controllers there is a setting to exclude individual devices. All good now.
This is quite simple to do. Using your controller (follow the controller programming instructions), you put it into the special “Program All On /All Off” mode, then press the on button on the module. This tells the module to respond to the All on/All off commands (or not respond, as the case may be).
I have multiple controllers, but I only have to do this operation using one of the controllers. The module will then respond properly to the other ones.
