Evolve EV-T-100R Emergency Heat for Heat Pump Application

Hello,

I have 2 EV-T-100R thermostats. They are great, z-wave support is awesome. I only have one thing that I’m trying to figure out. I have a heat pump system, and when the temperature is low outside, I want to switch to eheat. Unfortunately, in Vera, the only options are auto, heat, cool, and off. It should also have “eheat” but I have no idea to enable that.

Has anyone run into this issue and have any idea how to address?

This functionality is not provided by Vera. You’ll need to make the changeover at the thermostat itself.

Right, that’s the issue I’m trying to address. :slight_smile: It’s not very “automation” oriented, if I have to go to the thermostat to make the change. Seems like it should be simple enough to turning on EHEAT vs HEAT. Which, by the way, when in EHEAT mode, it shows up as HEAT in Vera. Just seems like there needs to be a little better integration, especially since items purchased on the Vera website are touted as “ready to go.”
