EVL-3EZ doesn't work

Hello,

I connected my EVL-3EZ to my DSC 832 (Power Series 5010) with a 22-4 wire. I unplugged the panel as well as the back-up battery, connected the wires, and turned the system back on. (I am planning on using a wireless repeater to connect the internet, once I figure out how to configure my TP Link.) But when I turned the power back on, the module doesn’t light up and my alarm keeps beeping with the trouble light on. I need help. What did I do wrong? I double checked the wires to make sure they are lined up correctly and snug.

That is saying the wiring is incorrect somewhere.

Revert and remove, change your keypad to another slot (default is slot8).

Repeat and retest. On start up you’ll need to reset time and is it is the same as adding a second keypad

If you haven’t got it working, try this:

Power down the panel, power it back up. Then enter: “*8”, “installer code”, “902”, wait for about one minute, then “903”. This would enroll the module. If you have an alphanumeric keypad, you should see module PC5400 enrolled.
