Can anyone help me, with sending the command to turndown the sensitivity level
Does not look like the commands are built into the UI5 by default, so how to sendt the commands a diffrent way.

According to the SP814 manual, in order to set sensitivity level you need to set variable # 3 to a value between 1 and 10 (default is 6)
The larger the number, the higher the sensitivity
To do so (in UI4) go to the device options tap, click add configuration settings.
Fill in the following values:
Variable: 3
Data size: 1 byte dec
Desired Value: (enter value between 1 and 10)
Press save
I can confirm this behavior. I made similar entries and at first I thought everything was normal since there is a large delay, by default up to 30 min to write the settings. But a few hours later an error appeared.
The error said something like: failed at writing user settings.
Shouldnt you change the type to 2 byte dec for parameter 4? It’s my understanding that a 1 byte dec can only hold a value from 0-9, and a two byte decimal values from 0-99… I maybe wrong though, but it would make sense, no?
I have the same problem here.initially looks ok but after some time error appears.
I was also wondering how I could read the lux level from the device, to use this information to drive other scenes, any thoughts?
By now I systematically tried all data sizes to set the custom variables but in every case I got the error message:
Failed at: setting user configuration
Is there anybody able to set the the variables at the configuration settings for the Everspring SP814? There are three people in this thread who are not able to set these variables. That doesn’t seem like a coincidence.
I can confirm that it is NOT working for me neither.
I’ve got a new SP814, with the latest Vera3 UI5, firmware 1.5.254.
I’m trying to set sensitivity (variable 3) to 1 byte decimal with value 8 instead of default 8, as others have described by closing the settings dialog, saving and then clicking configure now.
I do this right after reinserting the batteries while the device is beeping regularly for a minute.
The conclusion of the log file is pasted below. Why is this not working?
If anyone wants to know more from the log or setup I’ll happily provide more details.

You may want to update to the latest firmware 1.5.322 and try again?
I did the update to beta 1.5.322 but it works just the same. I reconnect the batteries, it attempts to set parameters, and I get the same error in the log as before.
It worked for me too, eventually…
One week after I made the settings, they are now applied and no error is showing. But I guess perseverance is another method.
Trial and error of the sensitivity value (param 3) however, will take many weeks at this rate. I hope MCV will address this issue soon. Has anyone reported it already? I’m not really sure where and how.
Yes, I have reported it a few weeks ago. I made them aware of the thread otterlo was pointing to. They said they would look into it but I didn’t get feedback yet. I have not been able to get any settings accepted yet.

Where can firmware releases for this be found? I found nothing on Eversprings website.
