Everspring SP814 Z-Wave Motion Sensor stopped working / Faulty??

I have had the above for around 6 months and all of a sudden it has stopped working, it used to flash orange on detecting motion but that no longer happens, i have replaced the battery’s (even though is was stating 90%), reset the device, excluded and re added and re configured which works fine but still no joy.

anyone else had any reliability issues with these? just don’t know what more to try before i send it back as faulty.

Hi All,

I know that this is an old post. However, the problem I have with my Everspring SP814 sensor is the same. It simply stopped detecting motion two days ago. It is a new sensor which I installed only six weeks ago. I have tried everything including factory reset. I am able to exclude, include and configure parameters.

I have tried the inclusion/exclusion process several times but it is still unable to detect. Should I simply send it back. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Hi guys, I know it’s an old topic but I’ve exactly the same problem and mybe have some additional info but no complete solution yet.

Today, my SP814 stopped working again. Same symptomes as above, orange light blink but no trip on the Vera. It already did it a few weeks ago and I managed to get it back working by excluding it (pressing the “-” button on the Vera) , reseting it and re-including it.

On the GUI, I found some kind of new ghost device “_Motion sensor” (device239) which display the blue line “waiting for wakeup to configure device”.
I’m 99% sure this device was not there before. The interesting part is the"time_created" value in advanced tab : 1380467612 ; while the “real” SP814 (device240) was created at 1380467667… only a few seconds later. I didn’t include two motion sensor in 1 minute. So i think there is probably a (broken) link between these two devices.

Tried to manually wake up the SP814 by pressing the button, removing the batteries but still not working…

Maybe, (I hope) the info above can help a Vera guru to pinpoint the problem.
