I’m going to build a switching cabinet to control my pond. I’m planning on using an IPX800 for switching, and binary and analog inputs. However, I also need a couple of dimmers to control pumps. I tested them on a couple of dimmers, and I got them to work with only one type. That’s probably because they need trailing edge dimming, but I’ll figure that one out.
My problem is that the cabinet will probably block any Z-Wave communications. So I’d like to use dimmers wired like the IPX800: over ethernet. However, my searches turned up nothing. Do (affordable) uPnP dimmers exist? If so, will it be hard to interface them to Vera?
