Error message - ERROR loading local data: remote access service is not active

When trying to access Vera remotely I get this error message. This is not the user friendly product it is advertised to be, and the user documentation is unacceptable.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have two Vera 2 and the first one works fine but the second one at a different location I can not get access to it from the Internet. I can connect to the second Vera 2 with my computer however I can not connect to it remotely.

Any suggestions?

Have you ever had it working?

When you log in to mios.com, click on backups next to the unit. See if daily backup is posted. This will also show that you Internet connection is working.

In some cases, there are multiple servers. The load seems to be balanced by even and odd serial numbers. So if you have one even and one odd serial number, you may see different results. It looks to me that there were some server problems in the last day or so from your post, so that could be your issue.
