The DSC1832 and the Envisalink EVL3 work well together - but on the issue of subscribing - do you need to subscribe to the Envisalink people to get the latest firmware for their device? If not - how do you update the firmware in the Envisalink EVL3 board. And I could probably ask the same question for the DSC1832 but it appears to not be “in the field” upgradeable?
For the EVL3/2DS, you need to register the unit with the free account. This will give you automatic firmware downloads (free) as well as some external access to do stuff with the Panel (as an alternative to doing it via Vera, which can be handy)
This account doesn’t give you monitoring, that’s what you pay extra for…
