Energy Monitoring Device

Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a energy monitoring device (whole house, not just at the plug) that will work with Vera to allow real time useage information? Something like the Black and Decker unit that is available, clamps on to the meter. I’ve done some searching on this forum and it looks like there was some talk of an “Aeon” unit last year but the thread seems to just go dead with no answer if it was ever integrated with Vera.

Any help is appreciated.

Aeon’s device has been released, but from what has been discussed on the board, it does not yet operate very well with Vera.

MCV has been concentrating on getting UI4 out the door right now. I expect the monitor to be fully functional after UI4 is released.

I have one but it doesn’t really show anything more that the total in Wattage. There are no pretty graphs like the TED stuff and also it doesn’t really update very frequently at the moment either.

Anybody get the Aeon unit to work yet? The one I hooked up showed total wattage once, can not get it to update from original reading at all.

You will probably only get it to update if you poll its child devices and then perhaps restart the LUA engine (by hitting the refresh icon). There is no software update available yet though, but I know MCV has worked on it among some other more serious problems that I guess have delayed its release.
