I am unable to see my Vera lite on UI7 from EDGE on UI7 same firmware. I can see other UPNP devices, TV, Fios router, etc. Both are on same network, in UI7, it appears we can no longer modify LAN IP , 192.168.81.1.
Can someone please share how they got two vera’s talking on UI7?
Thanks!
EDIT : Same Firmware version , both UI7
Saw a post:
" I logged this with very support. Got a reply from them that they were able to reproduce the issue, and that they will fix it in some future release… (roll eyes). No workaround available yet. "
@ VERA - I REALLY hope this critical function can be configured, as I split the load on my devices.
I think we are frustrated because when UI7 came out, we were esentially beta treaters, not by choice, but because we were told it was a general release, and it turned out to be buggy, and , we were not notified that bridging will no longer be supported feature, therefore, I consider this a defect.
An upgrade should provide additional features or benefits, We should never lose functionality in an upgrade, which may be the case here at the moment.
@ akbooer - Are your 4 vera’s successfully communicating via UPNP?
Spoke with Vera support on 3/6/2015 - They are planning a firmware release this month that will resolve UPNP issues several of us have been having since moving to UI7
Sadly, No. I am just resuming this project, as I need to get multiple vera back up and running. My Edge is on an older version of firmware (vera refusing at the moment , if you can believe that, to give me a firmware upgrade warning on a restart, sorry, so I cannot provide my current firmware version…connection to mothership might be down…) , as I am not brave enough to try the later updates. I have everything just as I need it.
My Vera Lite IS on the latest version, and I cannot bridge them. I believe I read a post that shows someone was able to bridge them by connecting into one of the units, but I do not have that post handy. Please let me know if anyone has success, AND explicit easy to follow directions to bridge the two devices :).
Thanks
